When I was in Junior High School and first discovering girls, I would fall deeply and intensely in love. Until another girl came along, and I would think, “Wow, I like her best!” I feel the same way about my paintings. Just when I think, “this one is my favorite,” another comes along that I feel very connected to and revere even more.
Falling in love with these paintings so naturally has led me to amass a collection of nearly 300 pieces in a relatively short period of time. So despite the generous space in the Farm Studio, Incubation Room and Private Gallery, I needed a larger area to fill with these love notes.
Enrolling two of my established artist family members, Dan Ostermiller and Jeff Berryman, I visited many cities to find the best place to feature our work in a public gallery.
I’m delighted to announce that the new J Klein Gallery is opening in November in the Old Town Art District of Scottsdale, Arizona. The gallery will be sharp, inventive and frankly, like nothing else in Scottsdale. Showcasing modern, surrealistic and abstract paintings, as well as a selection of bronze sculpture, the subject matter spans nature, music, animals, and agriculture.
We aim to bridge the gap between the resilient American West and the pioneering new Millennium.
