JEFFREY BERRYMAN

Jeffrey Berryman is the founder of the innovative and unique style “Surruralism”, a modern tribute to his rural Western roots that develops brand new possibilities in shape and contrast. He utilizes traditional themes such as agriculture, animals, and city scenes in a bold and transformative way.

Surreal in nature, Jeffrey pushes the envelope of color and form, producing pieces with movement, energy and contradiction.

FOUNDER OF SURRURALISM

Summing up his approach, Jeffrey says, “I’m modernizing Western Art. We are all familiar with the nostalgia and beauty of the West. I want to expand on that foundation and express what we are today and where we are headed.”

Jeffrey’s works are oil on metal; either galvanized steel, aluminum or patched metal. The use of these raw, industrial materials adds an extra element of surprise and depth. His pieces include table top works and large wall installations.

With works exhibited across the nation, Jeffrey in 2016 was honored to be part of the highly prestigious Coors Western Art Exhibit & Sale at the National Western Stock Show in Denver, Colorado.  He holds a Fine Arts Degree from Colorado State University and has studied extensively abroad. A Colorado native, Jeffrey resides in the rich farmland of Northern Colorado.

One of his oil on metal paintings, “Maniwest Destiny,” is currently on display at the Scottsdale’s Museum of the West for the Western Edge Exhibit.
