Klein & Jamison: A Collaborative Journey in Music

Klein & Jamison represents a unique artistic partnership between visual artist Jim Klein and composer Ian Jamison. Since their collaboration began in 2018, they’ve seamlessly woven their distinct visions into compelling musical works, often intrinsically linked to Klein’s evocative abstract paintings.

Among their significant projects is “Eight Paintings for Piano,” an album where each composition correlates with one of Jim Klein’s artworks. This powerful synergy between visual and auditory art, brought to life by pianist Katie Hughes, offers a truly immersive experience. In December 2023, they released “Sailing Symphony,” a dramatic classical EP, showcasing their ability to craft emotional narratives through intricate arrangements.

Their music has been embraced by notable musicians. Klein & Jamison’s creative process is deeply rooted in lengthy discussions and shared life experiences, which allows them to create music that feels both personal and universally resonant.
